Pet passports
Thanks to the pet passport, you can now bring your pets to EU countries and many other destinations, without quarantine.
It is important that you consult the Department of Agriculture website in Ireland and the country that you are travelling to, to get up to date information about the travel requirements for you pet.

What you need to get a passport
To get a pet passport your pet must...
1) be microchipped and 2) have a rabies vaccination

How long does it take?
Get organised well in advance. It is required that pets are immunised against rabies and have had their microchip registered at least 30 days prior to your travel date. ​

Rules of traveling
Up-to-date information is the pet owner's responsibility. While we will do our best to advise, the rules for traveling between different countries vary and are subject to change. Information can be found on the Department of Agriculture site in Ireland.
